We have been learning to use a present
participle in our writing.
‘‘Warming up my team, I stretched and passed the ball around to be good at catching it. It
was time to start the game.
The opposition got the ball first. They ran down the sideline but we
were too fast for them. We kept holding them off. It was time for our turn with
the ball.
Passing the ball to Mia, she rocketed down the sideline
and scored a marvellous try my team and I clapped.
Zigzagging through the whole team, Mark placed
the ball on the try line.
