We have been learning to use present
participles in our writing.
Meeting the
cheeky wolf in the forest, Little Red Riding Hood talked to it.
The wolf said, “Where are you off to,
my dear?”
“I’m off to see my grandma at her
cottage, to drop off some goodies.”
The sneaky wolf was asking weird
sneaky questions. He asked, “What is in that basket, Little Red Riding
Hood?”
“Cookies.”
Deciding to carry on, Little Red
Riding Hood set off. It was soundless for a few minutes. As she carried on, she
came to her cottage. Hearing her grandma's voice, Little Red Riding Hood said to Grandma,
“Good morning. I have some goodies for you. I will put them on your nice soft
bed, okay.”
Coming out thinking what was in the basket, Grandma said,
“What’s in that giant basket?” It was the wolf acting as Grandma, as Grandma was taped up in the cupboard.
